Connect your Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) to Gluroo
Gluroo works as a cloud hub that receives blood glucose readings from your sensor and hosts a free, private Nightscout server instance for your smartwatch.
Abbott does not allow direct third-party connections to the primary FreeStyle LibreLink app. The official method approved by Abbott is via LibreLinkUp:
- Download the LibreLinkUp app or visit the LibreLinkUp website and register an account using a secondary email address (different from your primary FreeStyle LibreLink account).
- Open your primary FreeStyle LibreLink app on your smartphone, tap the menu ☰ → Connected Apps → LibreLinkUp → Add Connection, and invite the secondary email. Accept the sharing permissions.
- Open the Gluroo app on your smartphone. Tap the Settings ⚙️ icon (top right) → CGM Data Sources → select FreeStyle Libre / LibreLinkUp.
- Enter the secondary email, password, and your geographical region (e.g., Europe or US). Within 1–2 minutes, Gluroo will begin streaming glucose data.
- Open Gluroo → Settings ⚙️ → CGM Data Sources → select Dexcom.
- Log in with your Dexcom credentials (or activate Dexcom Share and use follower credentials). Select your server region (US or International / Outside US).
In your app settings, navigate to Nightscout Upload and enter your Gluroo Nightscout URL and Token obtained in Step 2.
